Our Story

How it Began

Chad and I met through a mutual connection in the summer of 2019 in Port Aransas, Texas. Our friends, who are now married, were dating back  then and brought our two groups together for a day on the beach. For the first couple of hours, Chad and I avoided each other with a comical intensity. We still laugh about it because we have no idea why — maybe we sensed something significant and were a bit apprehensive. But after a few drinks, our friends introduced us, and we instantly hit it off, spending the rest of the evening dancing the night away at Bernie’s Beach House. Shout-out to those friends, Joey and Amanda!

That night, we discovered we both lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The next day, as everyone else headed back home, Chad and I weren’t quite ready to say goodbye. So after driving seven hours in separate cars and plenty of time to change our minds, we entered the same destination into our GPS and spent the next few days getting to know each other better.

Texas → Arkansas

Within a year, Chad moved from Fort Worth to Dallas to be closer to me. Another year later, we took the leap and moved to Arkansas together, ready to start a new chapter. Leaving behind family and friends was tough, but it’s been the sweetest adventure we’ve shared yet.

Now, three years later, we’ve built a life in Little Rock, Arkansas. People often ask us, “Why Little Rock, why Arkansas?” Chad, with his California vibe, and me, a lifelong Texan, make for an unlikely Arkansas pair. But Chad had spent time here during his college years and loved it, and we both craved a simpler life with beautiful surroundings and space to grow.

At the Center of It All

From the beginning, Chad and I have always prioritized being present in each other’s lives. In a world dominated by social media, we’ve made a conscious effort to stay grounded and focused on what truly matters, even if it means we’re terrible at remembering to take pictures.

What we do remember, though, is how much love and support has surrounded us from the start. While God has guided us, the people in our lives have played a huge role in shaping who we are and how we’ve gotten to where we are today. This wedding is not just a celebration of our love but a reflection of the journey we’ve taken together. To say our friends and family have been eagerly awaiting this day is an understatement. We can’t wait to celebrate with the ones who have cheered us on through every milestone. Thank you for being such an important part of our story.

As we celebrate, we also carry the memory of those who are no longer with us, especially our grandparents. Though they can’t be with us in person, we know they are with us in spirit, forever a part of our journey.

We love you.

In memory of

And the rest is history…

“Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink.

But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love.

If you must steal, steal away from bad company.

If you must cheat, cheat death.

And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away.”
